Anyway, I know it's been a while, and I'm afraid I haven't had any time to write any more articles yet, but I'll try to get working on something, I promise! In the meanwhile, here's a quick update on my various activities.
As anyone who has been following this for a while will know, I haven't had the best 6 months ever; I was forced to close down my training activities at the end of last year due to venue and financial issues, I then suffered quite a serious head injury at work and could do very little for most of February and March, I had to make the hard decision to retire Mr. Finn from his competitive agility career at the tender age of 4 in April, and have had a few other things to contend with as well.
But finally things are looking up! I completed my college course on teaching Adult learners so now hold a recognised teaching qualification, I have a new training venue (well, a new village hall to hire!), have launched my new 'Puppy Academy', am about to start some adult dog and 'Active Dog' classes, and on Sunday held my third annual charity Fun Dog Show. The show went better than expected - the weather was looking pretty grim during the set-up, but the showers held off for the show itself, loads of people turned up, and we raised £280 for charity (which was actually £10 up on last year despite the awful weather!). Huge thanks to everyone who turned up, and Phil's photos from the day should be up on his website here soon.
So all in all things are looking better! Wish I had a lovely picture or two from the show to brighten this post up, but alas I was running around too much to take any, and have yet to see the efforts of my photography chums! So instead here's a shot of Whirli looking happy after completing her favourite activity - burying things!! Blooming spaniels... :-)
